King & Country · Napoleonic · NA066
NA066 restores the horse to a group usually displayed around a stationary cannon. The mounted officer makes an artillery collection easier to understand as a mobile organisation with routes, orders and transport needs.

The mounted half of the story
The catalog record identifies a mounted horse artillery officer. His light brown horse and dark blue clothing complement the dismounted telescope figure NA065. A raised foreleg and the angle of the rider suggest movement, while the decorated saddlecloth and red accents tie the mounted figure visually to the artillery group.
Give the horse a route
Place the officer beside or behind NA064’s working crew, with an open route toward the rear. A rider hemmed between the gun wheel and a wall looks trapped. The scene becomes more convincing when the horse can arrive, pause and leave without crossing the space occupied by the crew. Alternatively, display NA065 and NA066 together as a comparison of observation on foot and movement in the saddle.
Read the saddle and supporting legs
The saddlecloth is a useful identification detail when several blue-coated riders appear in a mixed sale. Inspect its painted edging, the reins and the horse’s points of contact with the base. Ask for an unobstructed side photograph; a frontal image can hide repaired legs and the rider’s equipment. The set is particularly useful for a small artillery collection because it adds an entirely different silhouette while remaining connected to the same military function.
