King & Country · Napoleonic · NA024
NA024 bends forward with one hand close to the face, turning a French officer into a casualty subject rather than a detached commander. The posture gives a small group an interruption that a line of firing figures cannot provide.

The title explains the gesture
Without the catalog identification, the bent figure could be mistaken for an officer looking down or adjusting equipment. “Wounded Officer” changes the reading of the body and hand. Preserve that title with the code, and compare the sculpt rather than relying on a seller’s interpretation of what the man appears to be doing.
A scene with room for uncertainty
A nearby infantryman can look toward the officer, or the figure can stand just behind an active group. Either arrangement leaves the event understandable without adding a dramatic rescue that the sculpt does not actually show. Keep the face visible from the viewing side; the hand gesture is the important detail and is easily lost behind another figure.
Check deliberate detail against accidental damage
The wounded subject makes reference photography especially valuable. Compare the head, hand and bent torso first, then inspect the sword or other projecting equipment and the edges of the coat. Painted injury and factory shading are not the same thing as chipped paint. A close, evenly lit photograph lets you separate the intended narrative from the condition of the particular example.
