King & Country USMC036 Shotgun Marine: The Trench Gun in a Pacific Uniform

USMC036 fires from a forward lean, the shotgun tight into his shoulder and his knees flexed. King & Country identifies the weapon as the Winchester Model 1897 trench gun. Its perforated barrel shroud and compact outline distinguish it from the Garand even before the product title is read.

King & Country USMC031 Marine Crawling into Position: An Advance Measured Close to the Ground

USMC031 keeps his head, shoulders and rifle close to the ground. One leg draws up while the other extends behind, giving the prone figure an interrupted crawling movement. His Garand points ahead, ready to become a firing weapon as soon as he reaches a usable position.

King & Country USMC026 Marine Sniper: Read the Rifle as Well as the Title

King & Country calls USMC026 “Marine Sniper,” but its own description identifies the weapon as an M1 Garand. The figure sits on ammunition crates with his rifle shouldered, feet spread and upper body inclined into the shot. The reference photograph does not show an obvious telescopic sight.

King & Country USMC025 The Stretcher Party: Four Men to Carry One

Four Marines carry a fifth on a stretcher in USMC025. The bearers occupy the corners, with their weapons and equipment still about them, while the casualty lies across the center of the group. The set’s scale comes from the number of people committed to a single wounded man, rather than from a large vehicle or weapon.

King & Country USMC024 Marine Kneeling Firing Carbine: The Shorter Weapon Has Its Own Story

USMC024 holds an M1 carbine firmly to the shoulder, with one knee down and the other raised. The weapon’s short proportions and projecting magazine distinguish it from the longer Garands carried by many neighboring USMC releases. A pistol holster provides a second visible clue to his equipment.

King & Country USMC023 LVT(A)-1 Alligator: An Amphibious Gun Platform

USMC023 is the armored LVT(A)-1, with a turret-mounted 37mm gun and two Marine-manned .30-caliber machine guns behind it. The blue-gray finish, white stars, yellow markings and long tracked hull distinguish it sharply from the olive and brown vehicles elsewhere in the collection. Four reference views show the same vehicle.

King & Country USMC018 Marine Reloading: Eight Rounds and a Pause in the Fight

USMC018 depicts a Marine low on the ground, turned onto one side, with his Garand across his body and a fresh clip held in his raised hand. The fixed bayonet extends the rifle beyond the compact figure. Instead of showing a shot being fired, King & Country has chosen the brief interruption that every rifleman had to manage.

King & Country USMC016 No Marine Left Behind: The First Few Yards of a Rescue

USMC016 shows a standing Marine hauling a wounded man backward by his upper clothing. The casualty lies with his legs extended and one arm lifted, while the rescuer bends into the effort. The photograph shows the pair from different angles; the release contains two figures, not two separate rescue teams.

King & Country USMC015 Marine Grenadier: One Hand on the Rifle, One in the Throw

The broad throwing movement gives USMC015 its character. The Marine’s right arm reaches back with a grenade while his left hand holds the M1 Garand low, keeping the rifle out of the path of the throw. His bent knees and turned torso make the pose more involved than a raised arm attached to a standing rifleman.

King & Country USMC012 Marine Radioman: The Battle Heard Through a Handset

USMC012 kneels with a handset raised to his ear and an M1 carbine resting close against him. From behind, the large radio pack and long aerial explain the pose; from the front, the open mouth and concentrated expression carry the scene. This is one Marine performing two jobs: keeping a weapon within reach while listening and transmitting.
