This Del Prado legionnaire carries the desert campaign into the French section of the catalog. The headgear, loaded webbing and upright weapon provide an identifiable figure for a battle often overshadowed by the better-known British and German subjects.
The light uniform and restrained standing pose make this Del Prado aviation lieutenant a quieter subject than an armored pilot ready to climb into an aircraft. The figure is best identified through the full title, clothing and base record together.
The pale winter clothing and guarded stance give this Del Prado German soldier a very different appearance from the confident early-war figures. The Stalingrad date places him near the catastrophic end of the encircled German force.
The upright skis make this Del Prado mountain-troops figure unmistakable. The pale winter clothing and carried equipment turn the subject into a study of movement and survival in difficult terrain, not simply another rifleman.
The saluting hand and document held against the body give this Del Prado Luftwaffe corporal a working role away from the cockpit. The helmet and dark uniform make him quite different from the collection’s leather-clad pilots.
The gray uniform and Cossack headgear make this Del Prado figure a subject that needs more than a national label. The reference identifies a Kuban Cossack serving with the German forces in 1943.
This Del Prado corporal is shown running, with the body pitched forward and the weapon carried low. The action gives a small figure considerable movement, while the Spanish Civil War identification places it outside the two world wars.
The Del Prado Don Cossack brings the collection into the upheaval following the Russian Revolution. The cap, distinctive trousers and carried weapon give the figure a recognizable Cossack character without including a horse.
This Del Prado Scottish soldier carries the layered appearance of a man equipped for the Western Front: khaki clothing, webbing and a distinctive Highland headgear silhouette, rather than the red coat of a ceremonial image.
The green beret and compact weapon identify this Del Prado subject as a commando rather than an ordinary helmeted infantryman. The figure gives the British part of the collection a specialist assault role.
