Del Prado · Russian Civil War · 1918
The Del Prado Don Cossack brings the collection into the upheaval following the Russian Revolution. The cap, distinctive trousers and carried weapon give the figure a recognizable Cossack character without including a horse.

Cossack does not identify one political side
Cossack communities were divided by the Revolution and Civil War. A broad Don Cossack title should not automatically become a claim that the figure represents a particular White formation or named commander. The 1918 date and regional identity are useful starting points; faction and unit need evidence from the base, booklet or a more detailed uniform reference.
Why the date changes the collection
Placed beside a prewar Russian soldier and a later Soviet figure, this subject explains that the transition was not a simple uniform change. The state, armies and allegiances were being contested. A small historical label can make that discontinuity clear without forcing the model into a precise episode that its general identification does not support.
The useful identification photographs
Capture the cap, trouser color, weapon and underside of the base. Compare the same features in a sale listing, especially if the title says only “Russian soldier.” The long weapon and any thin straps need a side view. The rectangular base and unmounted stance are part of the reference composition, not evidence that the set is incomplete.
