King & Country · WWII U.S. Marines · USMC026
King & Country calls USMC026 “Marine Sniper,” but its own description identifies the weapon as an M1 Garand. The figure sits on ammunition crates with his rifle shouldered, feet spread and upper body inclined into the shot. The reference photograph does not show an obvious telescopic sight.

In the set: One seated Marine aiming a Garand from ammunition crates.
A product name is not a rifle specification
Marine sniping in WWII included scoped rifles, while ordinary riflemen also took deliberate, carefully aimed shots. The M1903 Springfield remained in service in a sniping role after the Garand became more widely available. A collector should therefore distinguish the maker’s name for this miniature from a claim that it reproduces a particular scoped sniper rifle.
The ammunition crates are part of the visual subject: they lift the firing position and let the knees sit below the rifle rather than duplicating a standard kneeling pose. That makes the model read as a man who has found a place to settle and aim, instead of one firing during a hurried advance.
Review
The seated posture is the reason to choose this release. It gives the figure a patient, concentrated character and a recognizable support beneath him. The limitation is equally specific: anyone seeking a visibly scoped Marine sniper should examine the pictured weapon rather than relying on the product title.
