The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD264-1

The M1 carbine hangs low beside a fully equipped paratrooper. DD264-1 places the 82nd Airborne soldier in a waiting stance, with the front-mounted pack and webbing dominating the view.

The weapon changes the outline

Compared with the Thompson-bearing DD263-1, this figure has a different line running down beside the body. The carbine is identified in the release title, so that detail should stay in the catalog description even when a listing simply calls him a standing para.

The face and helmet remain visible above the crowded harness. They provide a small human focal point amid the equipment.

Build a group through differences

A convincing display does not require every waiting soldier to carry the same weapon or hold the same pose. Pairing this figure with the Thompson version creates variation while keeping the shared divisional setting.

The two can stand at different angles, with enough space to reveal their equipment. That makes the contrast readable without turning the scene into a formal weapons demonstration.

Before the equipment was scattered

The pre-jump appearance belongs to preparation rather than a generic firefight. The packed harness and quiet stance suggest a soldier waiting for the next stage of an airborne movement.

The source does not identify a specific man, company or airfield. A modest assembly-area setting can therefore support the figure without adding an invented biography.

DD264-1 was released in August 2015, with DD264-2 as the 101st counterpart. The 82nd insignia, carbine and standing pose make this a distinct entry in the collection’s growing picture of airborne preparation.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD264-1 product record lists a release date of August 2015 and a retirement date of August 2018. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
