King & Country WS308 SS-Oberscharführer Karl Otto: The Movie Commander Steps Away from His Tiger

A full figure changes the possibilities

Unlike a half-body hatch commander, WS308 is a standing figure. The hands, boots and case form a complete little scene that can be photographed independently or beside a vehicle.

The black clothing creates a strong contrast against green armor. Placing the man beside the tank also makes his scale easier to appreciate than hiding most of him in a turret opening.

Check which release is being offered

WS308 is the individual figure release. WS311 is the Tiger package associated with the original character, while WS322 and WS323 extend the movie-tank grouping.

The case is an identifying detail to compare in photographs, especially when a loose figure has been separated from its packaging. A tank pictured nearby is not automatically part of WS308.

For the catalog, this small release matters because it records a change in how the character could be collected: the recognizable commander became a subject in his own right.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS308 product record lists a release date of March 2016 and a retirement date of December 2017. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability.
