The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD355(B)
DD355(B) pairs a low-running Bren gunner with a rifle-armed companion carrying an ammunition box. The two figures make the weapon’s support needs visible in a way that a lone gunner cannot.

The South Lancashire connection
The release description identifies the men with the South Lancashire Regiment. The Lancashire Infantry Museum’s wartime history places the 1st South Lancashires among the leading assault battalions of the British 3rd Division on D-Day, landing on Queen White and pressing toward Hermanville.
The model is an interpretation of that infantry subject, rather than a named pair reconstructed from a particular incident.
Count the roles as well as the figures
One man carries the Bren; the other carries a rifle and the box. Both bend forward, but the different loads give each a separate outline.
The pale bases identify the B version. This pair is also a component of SGS-DD011, the manufacturer’s second Sword Beach bundle, where it joins a boat and other infantry.
Keep the team connected
A small stagger between the figures makes their shared movement easier to read. Too much distance can make the ammunition carrier seem unrelated to the gunner.
The set adds a practical relationship to the collection: a support weapon moves with another man and additional equipment, not as an isolated object.
For completeness, establish both figures, the Bren and the companion’s ammunition box. The matching sand bases then confirm the specific terrain version.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD355(B) product record lists a release date of November 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
