The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD340(G)
The green base of DD340(G) carries the advancing Bren gunner into an inland setting. His shoulders lean forward beneath the pack while both hands hold the gun close, making the weapon’s weight part of the pose.

Training belongs behind the action
The National Army Museum’s Sale Collection includes photographs of British soldiers practicing with a Bren during training in 1941. Such images are a useful reminder that the equipment seen in combat models was handled and learned long before a landing.
The miniature is not identified as one of those photographed men. The connection is the practical familiarity with a weapon that has to be carried as well as fired.
Green ground, shared sculpted subject
DD340(B) is the sand-base counterpart. The G version keeps the same advancing-gunner idea while matching the grass treatment of the later Normandy infantry group.
The top-mounted magazine creates a recognizable vertical accent over the gun. Viewed from the side, the pack and bent torso provide an equally useful outline behind it.
Build a group with different tasks
Pair the gunner with the grass-base advancing riflemen DD345(G), leaving the longer Bren visible between them. A nearby prone gunner can represent a separate moment of the action.
DD340(G) is a single figure. Its value in the catalog is the specific moving Bren pose and the terrain variant, both of which should remain clear when comparing boxed and loose examples.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD340(G) product record lists a release date of August 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
