The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS199

The T-34 shape is Soviet, but the large German crosses and commander in the hatch tell a different service story in WS199. King & Country presents the captured tank in gray, with recognition markings conspicuous on the turret and hull.

A familiar tank under new markings

The sloping hull and broad tracks remain central to the model’s appearance. Repainting the vehicle does not erase its design origin; instead, the contrast between origin and operator becomes the release’s main historical subject.

The manufacturer assigns this example to the 3rd Waffen-SS Division, Totenkopf. That is the catalog’s unit attribution, not a verified individual history for the miniature’s represented chassis.

What distinguishes this release

  • The gray finish and prominent German recognition crosses.
  • The German commander supplied in the turret hatch.
  • The T-34/76 configuration identified by the product title.
  • The stated production run of 250 examples.

The edition figure comes from the release announcement. It does not establish a current price or the condition of a particular surviving model.

Captured equipment broadens the catalog

WS195’s French Panhard in German service offers a related collecting theme through a very different vehicle. Together the releases show why nationality searches can benefit from recording both a machine’s origin and its depicted operator.

For this tank, the crosses are especially useful identification details. A seller’s generic T-34 description may omit the feature that separates WS199 from a Soviet-marked release.

Give the commander and both sides of the turret a clear view. The model’s interest lies in a recognizable Soviet vehicle carrying a different army’s markings, with that captured-service identity kept explicit throughout the catalog entry.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS199 product record lists a release date of May 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
