The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS185
A kneeling Hitler Youth member and an older man in a greatcoat both hold Panzerfausts in WS185. Their different heights, clothing and apparent ages make the two-figure group a pointed image of Nazi Germany’s final mobilization.

The title needs the late-war setting
The manufacturer calls the set Panzerfaust Warriors, but the miniature’s most revealing feature is the contrast between a boy and an older companion. The scene belongs to a regime drawing increasingly unsuitable age groups into combat as defeat approached.
The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Hitler Youth history describes the involvement of young teenagers in civil defense and the Volkssturm during the final months. Military training and Nazi indoctrination had already shaped the youth organization.
One weapon type, two very different bodies
The boy kneels low in dark clothing while the older man remains higher in a long green coat. The similar weapons draw attention to the physical difference between their users.
The sculpt does not provide their names, exact ages or a documented action. The visible contrast supports the historical theme without requiring an invented personal biography.
The group belongs with training as well as combat
WS190 shows a youth receiving machine-gun instruction, while WS191 and WS192 add bicycles carrying equipment. Together these releases broaden the late-war subject beyond a row of firing figures.
They also make the collection’s chronology important. These militia and youth scenes should retain their end-of-war context rather than being placed indiscriminately in an early campaign display.
Look closely at the relationship
The two men can remain a compact pair with their faces and weapons unobstructed. Their unequal heights already create a complete composition.
WS185 adds a difficult but informative subject to the catalog: the difference between possessing a weapon and representing a properly prepared fighting force. The age contrast is the detail that makes the release worth discussing.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS185 product record lists a release date of March 2011 and a retirement date of March 2014. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
