The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS184

The raised arm in WS184 is a Nazi salute, while the other hand holds a Panzerfaust upright beside the long brown coat. The manufacturer’s original title includes the Nazi greeting; this catalog identifies the pose without adopting the slogan as its own voice.

The clothing makes the political identity explicit

King & Country describes a Volkssturm man still wearing his SA uniform. The brown clothing, red armband and cap distinguish him from the militia figures in civilian coats and mixed military equipment.

The pose represents continued allegiance to Hitler in the manufacturer’s late-war scene. It is not a generic military salute, and the figure’s political identity is central to understanding what the sculpt depicts.

A militia assembled during defeat

The Deutsches Historisches Museum’s Volkssturm account places the force within Nazi Germany’s late-1944 mobilization. Party organization and the desperate search for manpower shaped this final phase of the war.

That context gives the mixed clothing in the miniature sequence its significance. The figures do not represent a fresh, uniformly equipped regular formation.

The weapon and gesture create separate lines

The Panzerfaust runs down toward the base while the raised arm extends outward above the shoulder. The long coat fills the space between them, making this a particularly upright subject within the militia group.

The contrast with WS181’s bundled civilian appearance is instructive. Different backgrounds and degrees of ideological commitment are part of the manufacturer’s interpretation of the late-war gathering.

A historical subject that needs its context

WS184 belongs in a retrospective of the regime’s final mobilization, with the Nazi salute and SA uniform clearly identified. The collecting interest lies in the specific clothing and political gesture represented by the sculpt, rather than treating the scene as a celebration.

A clear view of the armband, cap and complete weapon helps distinguish this release from the other Panzerfaust carriers.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS184 product record lists a release date of March 2011 and a retirement date of March 2014. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
