The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD151

DD151 brings a grenade-carrying GI and a rifleman together on their feet. After the prone and seated figures in the surrounding releases, the pair changes the height and pace of the group.

The action is still developing

The archived description places one man preparing to throw a grenade while his companion covers him with a rifle. In the saved image, the first man stays bent forward with the grenade low, while the rifleman holds his weapon across the front.

This is not the familiar fully extended throwing pose. The preparation gives the body a compressed, forward-looking shape.

Two men with different lines of movement

The bent figure draws attention down toward the ground. The taller rifleman creates a horizontal line above him, with his face turned across the scene.

Their differing heights keep the pair readable when placed together. They also help connect a low group such as DD148 with taller standing figures elsewhere in the collection.

A representative infantry moment

The D-Day historical overview follows the fighting from the landings into the campaign beyond. The release itself does not establish a particular village, unit or named encounter.

That distinction leaves room for a historically themed display without converting a general sculpted action into an invented episode.

Keep the original pair together in the record

The two figures can be arranged a little apart, but the catalog should preserve their original relationship. A loose rifleman sold alone may no longer make the two-man release obvious.

DD151 belongs as a contrasting composition within this infantry group: upright movement after several low poses, and two different activities under one code. The saved photograph is the reference for the exact pair, their equipment and the original base shapes.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD151 product record lists a release date of June 2011 and a retirement date of January 2014. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
