The model’s moving features are part of the appeal
The manufacturer lists a metal hull, turret and main gun, flexible metal tracks, rolling wheels with suspension and four opening hatches. These are stated model features rather than specifications inferred from a single photograph.
Two original crew figures accompany the vehicle. The full special-edition designation is WS396(SE), with 250 examples announced and a numbered certificate.
Kursk was a prepared battle
The Tank Museum’s account explains the German plan to pinch off the salient and the Soviet decision to defend behind successive prepared belts before counterattacking. Repeated German delays allowed further defensive preparation.
That context is more useful than presenting the Tiger as a machine whose individual reputation could determine the outcome. The vehicle was one component in a much larger contest of forces and planning.
Compare S32 with S33
WS397 is the companion Kursk Tiger already covered in this catalog. The manufacturer gives that version a different camouflage arrangement and different crew figures, making the complete presentation important to identification.
For WS396, show the S32 marking, both crew figures and the running gear clearly. The certificate and box are additional collecting evidence, not substitutes for inspecting the vehicle.
The release’s interest lies in the combination of its represented Kursk subject and its mechanical model features. Keep both in the record without repeating unverified combat tallies from promotional text.
