The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS385

Two standing men carry visibly different weapons in WS385. One holds the familiar German rifle, while his companion has the captured PPSh-41 identified in the manufacturer’s description.

The equipment adds a second national origin

The PPSh-41 is a Soviet submachine-gun design. Royal Museums Greenwich’s surviving example shows its wooden stock and steel barrel jacket, useful reference features for recognizing the type.

King & Country’s intended subject is German use of a captured weapon. The model does not identify where this particular miniature’s represented gun was obtained or who originally carried it.

The figures are waiting, not firing

Both weapons are held without a shouldered firing posture. The men’s attention and slight turns toward one another give the pair a quieter interaction.

Their camouflage garments have different color treatments, while plain trousers and tall boots connect the overall appearance. A full-height image keeps those contrasts visible.

A useful equipment comparison

Placed together, the rifle and submachine gun invite inspection of length, stock and magazine shape. It is a small scene that can lead a reader from a figure’s pose into the history of equipment changing hands.

The release contains two men. Neither the similar standing subjects elsewhere in the range nor a loose Soviet soldier is a substitute for the captured-weapon figure in this particular pair.

WS385 earns its catalog entry through that combination of waiting poses and different weapons. When checking an example, make sure both weapons are visible in the seller’s photographs; they provide a more precise identity than a generic title about two German infantrymen.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS385 product record lists a release date of September 2023. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
