The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS322
Tiger 113 brings another green vehicle into King & Country’s Kelly’s Heroes-inspired group. The turret number supplies the immediate identity, while the commander leaning from the hatch gives the model a different upper outline from Karl Otto’s standing figure.
A collector-requested expansion
The manufacturer describes this release as a response to movie enthusiasts who wanted the other Tigers after WS311. That is useful catalog history: the grouping grew beyond the original tank-and-character package.
WS322 is number 113. WS323 is 114, and WS311 carries the Karl Otto association. Keeping those three relationships clear is more helpful than grouping every listing under a generic movie Tiger label.
Film recognition and vehicle history meet
The American Film Institute catalogs Kelly’s Heroes as a 1970 comedy-drama. The model’s reference is a fictional film world, even though its uniforms and armored subjects draw on the Second World War.
The screen Tigers themselves used converted T-34s, as noted in ARMOR’s March–April 2000 letters. That is a film-production detail, not proof of the precise chassis treatment of this miniature.
The hatch figure matters
The commander leans outward, bringing the human element close to the turret roof. The manufacturer identifies his intended SS affiliation; the catalog does not assign him an invented personal service record.
A photograph that includes both numeral and commander makes this release much easier to distinguish from its companions.
WS322 is appealing as part of the trio, but it also has a clear individual identity: Tiger 113 with this particular hatch presentation.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS322 product record lists a release date of March 2016 and a retirement date of June 2017. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
