The familiar footage belongs to March
The product description associates the scene with Hitler’s birthday on 20 April 1945. Imperial War Museums catalogs the familiar newsreel encounter as March 1945, with a production date of 22 March. It records Hitler inspecting decorated boys in the Reich Chancellery garden and touching one boy’s cheek.
The model’s marketed birthday narrative should therefore be distinguished from the date of the footage used to illustrate this subject. Berliner Unterwelten’s chronology explicitly warns against confusing the March encounter with 20 April.
The children are central to the history
IWM’s Holocaust Galleries guide describes the Hitler Youth’s role in indoctrinating and militarizing children. That context belongs beside a miniature ceremony involving boys during the regime’s collapse.
Five figures, no bunker included
The set contains the two adult leaders and three young figures. The bunker entrance, tower and additional boys are separately cataloged releases.
The interaction between Hitler and the nearest boy is the composition’s focal point. The other figures frame the exchange without turning it into a mass parade.

Sager’s archived WS312 product record lists a release date of May 2015 and a retirement date of June 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
