The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS114

The peaked cap gives WS114 a different outline from the helmeted soldiers nearby. The officer walks forward with his arms lower than the commanding gestures used on many personality figures.

The archive identifies the role

The release is titled Marching SS Officer. Its older sales description adds confident character judgments, but the sculpt itself gives us clothing, equipment and a walking posture, not evidence of an unnamed man’s thoughts.

Keeping those two things separate makes a more useful catalog entry. The figure can be described closely without adopting the promotional personality invented around it.

The stride is the main action

One leg moves forward while the opposite arm gives the body a natural counter-line. Binoculars and belt equipment add weight around the torso without obscuring the movement.

The cap sits high above the plainer trouser area. A slight side view shows the step and the equipment hanging around the waist more clearly than a directly frontal photograph.

A marching group can have variety

WS115 supplies a related trooper with a rifle over his shoulder. Their different headgear and arm positions prevent the pair from becoming a simple repetition of the same figure.

Both are individual releases. A photograph of a larger column should not be read as the contents of WS114 alone.

The represented organization matters

The WS historical overview places the Waffen-SS within Nazi Germany’s war and addresses the crimes associated with it. An officer walking between locations belongs within that history just as a combat pose does.

For the collection, WS114 adds a clear movement figure and another uniform silhouette. He can link a vehicle area with an infantry group or occupy a small road vignette, provided the display keeps the historical identity alongside the craftsmanship.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS114 product record lists a release date of April 2008 and a retirement date of April 2013. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
