The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS097
Instead of a seated passenger, WS097 carries a wounded man on a stretcher across the sidecar. His horizontal body transforms the outline of the motorcycle combination and immediately explains its medical role.

The patient changes everything
The driver wears a prominent red-cross marking, repeated on the sidecar. Beside him, the injured man lies with bandaging around his head and an arm raised over his body.
The archive describes a motorcycle adapted to take a casualty to a first-aid post. It does not identify a particular unit or establish how common this exact arrangement was. The article therefore records the configuration represented by the model without turning it into a universal wartime practice.
A scene about the journey to care
The sculpt occupies the space between injury and treatment. There is no doctor examining the man and no hospital bed at the destination; the driver’s task is to move him.
That gives WS097 a different direction from an advancing combat vehicle. In a larger display, it can lead away from the fighting area toward a dressing station or a quieter road.
Look across the stretcher
A three-quarter view reveals the stretcher poles, patient and driver together. Viewed only from the motorcycle side, the vehicle can hide much of the casualty and weaken the story.
The pale poles and bandages also create useful contrasts against the grey machine. Additional scenery should leave those small details visible, because they distinguish this release from an ordinary sidecar combination.
Why medical subjects matter here
The WS catalog history addresses the wider war; this miniature brings its physical consequences into a compact two-person scene. The patient’s dependence on the driver is the central relationship.
Medical and support categories make the release easier to find alongside stretcher parties and wounded figures. It belongs with the vehicles too, but its collecting interest rests on the job performed by this particular adaptation.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS097 product record lists a release date of March 2007 and a retirement date of May 2009. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
