The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS084

A man pulls a wounded colleague on a low sledge in WS084. The long shape behind the standing figure gives this small release a clear direction, while the patient’s blanket and lowered posture change the pace of the scene.

The destination is care

The archived description presents the pair moving toward a battlefield aid station. No medical building comes with that statement, and the short record does not identify a particular location or casualty.

The set’s subject is evacuation. It therefore belongs under medical and support categories even though the man pulling the sledge is shown carrying military equipment.

The sculpt makes the effort visible

The standing figure turns his upper body while pulling the load behind him. The wounded man lies low, with his head and pale helmet emerging above the darker covering.

That contrast between an upright moving figure and a horizontal dependent one gives the composition its character. The sledge connects them physically without needing a second carrier.

A winter scene needs a route

The snowy bases establish the season, but a little open ground in front of the pulling figure helps the viewer understand where the pair is going. A wall placed immediately ahead can interrupt the movement implied by the sculpt.

The WS series history supplies the wider wartime setting. The miniature itself keeps attention on the consequences of fighting and the work of moving an injured person.

Why it changes a display

Among tanks and firing infantry, WS084 creates a different kind of encounter. It can lead the eye away from the combat area toward a quieter part of a larger scene.

The pulling figure, patient and sledge should remain associated in the collection record. Separating them obscures the activity that gives this release its identity and makes it more than another winter-uniform study.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS084 product record lists a release date of September 2006 and a retirement date of August 2008. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
