The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS080
WS080 balances a compact tracked chassis with a tall open gun position and four crew figures. The snow camouflage makes the darker mechanical details stand out around the upper compartment.

The designation is the useful starting point
The archived release identifies a Flakpanzer 38(t) carrying a single 20mm gun on a Czech-derived chassis. That is more precise than the nickname Gepard alone, which can lead a search toward quite different vehicles.
The WS historical catalog places the range’s air-defence and ground-combat subjects in their wider setting. The old sales description’s broad claim about this vehicle being more useful in one role than another is not needed to identify the miniature.
Four crew at different levels
The original announcement specifies four figures. In the saved image, their heads and bodies appear at different heights around the vehicle, with one man standing beside the track.
That outside figure is particularly useful visually: he makes the vehicle’s compact size apparent and connects the machinery with the ground beneath it.
White paint does not erase the shape
The pale finish runs across the angular upper panels, while the wheels, tracks and gun remain darker accents. The open compartment creates shadow and depth even within the snowy colour scheme.
A three-quarter view reveals those layers better than a directly frontal photograph. It also avoids lining up the crew so that one figure hides another.
A different winter silhouette
Alongside WS079’s much larger Hummel, this release introduces another kind of open tracked gun vehicle. Their shared winter treatment can tie a display together, but the weapon, size and crew arrangement keep them distinct.
WS080 belongs as this specific single-gun Flakpanzer version, with all four original figures recorded alongside the vehicle.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS080 product record lists a release date of October 2006 and a retirement date of May 2008. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
