The Operation ToyBox catalog · WH124
WH124 raises the MG42 above a substantial frame mounting, with two crewmen working close behind it. The support gives the weapon a different presence from the low bipod team in WH077.

The mounting is the key identifier
The archived description specifies the fixed-firing arrangement and two gunners. The reference photograph shows the metal-frame support spreading beneath the gun, with ammunition and crew around it.
That configuration belongs in the catalog description. “MG42 team” alone would not distinguish this release from the moving pair in WH105 or the earlier prone team.
A miniature can explain an equipment difference visually
The frame makes the weapon occupy a defined position rather than simply rest on the ground. Even without a technical specification, the contrast with a bipod is visible in the saved photographs.
The collecting interest lies in comparing those forms and the different crew poses King & Country chose for them.
Look into the space beneath the gun
A clear front-quarter angle reveals the support and keeps the two men distinguishable. Dense scenery around the base would hide the component that makes this set unusual.
Allow space for the projecting legs of the mounting as well as the barrel.
Why the newer team deserves its own entry
The WH historical catalog includes repeated equipment subjects across different releases. WH124 records this particular two-man arrangement and frame-mounted weapon.
When identifying an example, compare the complete gun support, both figures and ammunition details with the reference image. A pair of similar gunners without the original mounting would not preserve the release’s defining composition.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WH124 product record lists a release date of March 2026. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
