King & Country WH087 Ambulance Kübelwagen, Mid-to-Late War: The Patient Above the Small Car

A small vehicle makes the casualty visible

Unlike a closed ambulance, this arrangement leaves the patient in view. The effect is to make evacuation the central human subject rather than hide it inside a vehicle body.

The release does not identify a named casualty, unit or route. Its historical role is representative medical transport within the German army collection.

Compare the versions by more than colour

The WH ambulance sequence includes different paint treatments and different figure complements. Checking only the camouflage can miss an important difference in what the original box contained.

The WH overview links those vehicle subjects with the wider medical range.

Give the stretcher its own space

The patient sits higher than the ordinary car silhouette. A clear side or front-quarter view reveals the stretcher supports and the relationship with the driver below.

WH087 belongs separately because that occupied medical arrangement and camouflage treatment define the release. When identifying a used example, compare the figures and stretcher equipment as carefully as the wheels and bodywork; the car alone is only part of the scene.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH087 product record lists a release date of November 2018 and a retirement date of October 2023. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
