The Operation ToyBox catalog · WH018-B

WH018-B moves the armoured crew out of the hatches and into a pause beside the vehicle. One man sits while the other stands, and both wear the black wrap-around jackets that distinguish this version.

The suffix records the clothing

King & Country offered the pair in two jacket treatments: WH018-B in Panzer black and WH018-G in field grey. The original description explicitly sets out that choice.

That makes the suffix essential when recording or searching for the set. A short listing headed only WH018 can conceal which version is actually pictured.

A vehicle crew without a vehicle

The saved photo shows the men with small items around them, including the seated figure’s support and equipment beside the standing man. The vehicle itself is not part of this two-crewman release.

The pair can give an existing tank display a human scale. Place them where they remain visible alongside the hull rather than letting a track or side skirt hide the seated figure.

Why a pause adds information

Much of a tank miniature’s crew may disappear inside the turret. Dismounted figures reveal clothing and posture more fully and suggest the time spent outside the vehicle.

The WH series overview provides the broader historical context. This set adds one small part of that picture without assigning names or a particular service history to the men.

Compare the jackets before the box

Black clothing can look grey under strong lighting, so a clear colour photograph is useful when distinguishing the variants. Check both figures rather than assuming a box label settles the matter.

WH018-B earns its own catalog entry because the uniform treatment is the intended difference. Keeping that detail visible helps a collector find the version that fits an existing display or complete a comparison of the pair.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH018-B product record lists April 2015 as the release date and March 2016 as the retirement date. Those are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
