King & Country · Napoleonic · NA078
NA078 carries a standard above a mounted dragoon in the Empress Dragoons color scheme. The flag and its staff make the release a natural organizing point for the related Guard cavalry figures.

The paint designation changes the identity
The source catalog distinguishes this as an Empress Dragoons release. That matters because K&C also produced earlier line-dragoon subjects with related actions. A familiar horse-and-rider composition does not prove that two figures share the same code. Compare the uniform, helmet and saddlecloth, and retain the exact release designation with your photographs.
The Guard’s mounted arm
Napoleon’s Guard included distinct cavalry formations as well as its famous foot soldiers. The Fondation Napoléon’s cavalry overview places Guard dragoons within that broader organization. For a display, keeping the Empress Dragoons together makes their identity clearer than mixing every green-coated French horseman into one unit.
A flagbearer’s condition checklist
Examine both faces of the flag, the finial, the staff’s straightness and its connection with the rider’s hand. Then check the reins and legs as on any mounted piece. NA079 is a direct companion from the same paint group, while an earlier dragoon bearer is better used as a comparison than assumed to be an identical replacement.
