King & Country · Napoleonic · NA021
NA021 is caught between shots. The angled musket and concentrated hands interrupt the horizontal lines of the French firing figures, adding a practical task to a small infantry scene.

The gap between firing poses
Loading a muzzle-loading firearm was work that had to be repeated after each shot. This model makes that interval visible. It is particularly useful next to NA020 because the two share a low posture but direct the viewer’s attention differently: one outward along the barrel, the other inward toward the hands and weapon.
A display about sustained effort
Place the loading soldier slightly behind a firing comrade with enough space to see his hands. A small patch of open ground is often more effective than adding another wall or tree. The contrast explains that an infantry group depended on repeated individual tasks, not just the dramatic moment of discharge. It also gives the eye somewhere to pause.
Catalog and condition details
Search the padded NA021 code and the shortened NA21 form, then compare photographs. Inspect the weapon’s full length, the fingertips around it and the plume above the headgear. If a listing shows only the front, ask for a side view; this pose’s most informative details can be hidden by the arms. Keep the description specific so it is not confused with NA020.
