The Operation ToyBox catalog · AL075
AL075 answers a practical collecting problem: one charging pose repeated several times soon looks repeated. This second mounted Kiwi rifleman lets a New Zealand group gain variety while keeping a shared direction and purpose.
Compare the pair before adding scenery
The catalog description identifies AL075 as a second galloping rifle-and-bayonet subject. The numbering in the title distinguishes it from AL074, so it is worth comparing their photographs as separate releases rather than assuming the only difference is the box.
I would first arrange the two figures on an empty surface. Let their outlines establish the spacing, then add scenery around that relationship. Starting with a crowded base can force the poses into awkward overlaps and hide the variation that justified adding the second figure.
The mounted force had a long working day
The NZ History account of horses in Sinai and Palestine describes the demands placed on the New Zealand mounts. The animal was essential to movement across the campaign’s distances, well beyond any one dramatic episode.
That wider picture is useful even when collecting an action figure. A group of galloping miniatures can form one part of a larger display that also includes dismounted men and resting animals, rather than standing in for the whole experience of mounted service.
Why this belongs beside AL074
The collecting appeal is variation within a clearly identified national group. AL075 can help build the impression of several individuals moving together, particularly if the figures are staggered rather than lined up shoulder to shoulder.
Keep the rifle clear of neighbouring reins and other thin details, and leave a view through to the rider. A second pose is most effective when the viewer can actually see how it differs from the first. That makes the pair more useful than simply doubling the number of figures on the shelf.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived AL075 product record lists March 2017 as the release date. Those are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
