The Operation ToyBox catalog · AL036(B)
The camel faces forward while its officer turns back, creating a small conversation with the patrol behind him. AL036(B) keeps that appealing command pose and gives it the army-blanket treatment. The suffix is a useful identification detail, not an optional piece of punctuation.

Look beneath the rider
The manufacturer’s 2012 announcement distinguishes the army blankets of the B variants from the decorative blankets of the original camel trio. This entry records the officer with the regulation treatment.
The difference sits in the saddle area, where it can disappear in a distant group photograph. The officer’s turned head and the camel alone will not distinguish this version from plain AL036. A close side view is much more useful than a shortened listing title.
A patrol had a great deal to carry
The War Memorial’s study of the Australian cameleers explains how the animals’ load-carrying ability and longer intervals between watering supported extended desert patrols. The saddle equipment on a miniature can therefore open a discussion about the practical reason for the mount.
That context also gives the officer’s backward glance a natural setting. A column is made up of animals, loads and men who have to remain connected while moving through the landscape.
The lead figure in a matching trio
AL037(B) and AL038(B) supply different clothing and attitudes behind the officer. Leave a little space between the camels so the saddle treatment and the long necks stay visible. The leading officer can look back toward the following man without requiring an exaggerated bend in the whole patrol.
For variant collectors, the pleasure is in comparison: the same broad subject can look more decorative or more utilitarian depending on the blanket. Keep each image with its full code, and use the saddle area as the deciding visual clue. AL036(B) provides a quieter palette while retaining one of the camel group’s most engaging gestures.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived AL036(B) product record lists a release date of December 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
