The Operation ToyBox catalog · AL025
The blue-grey coat and bright red lining make AL025 stand apart from the pale uniforms of the Ottoman infantry. The officer holds a pistol and binoculars, combining command equipment with an immediate sense of danger. Its famous name needs one important piece of context at the outset.

The manufacturer described a hypothetical appearance
The release text explicitly says that Mustafa Kemal was not at Beersheba and imagines how he might have appeared there. AL025 therefore belongs to the range as a named character interpretation, not as evidence that he personally faced the Light Horse charge in this pose.
Keeping that distinction visible actually makes the article more interesting. Toy-soldier ranges sometimes bring prominent personalities into a broader setting, and collectors can enjoy the character while still separating the imagined scene from the campaign chronology.
The real command connection
A U.S. Army study of military deception describes Mustafa Kemal’s command of the Ottoman Seventh Army in 1917 and its transfer to Mustafa Fevzi in early October, before the British offensive. That provides a real link to the wider theater without placing him at the charge itself.
The name Atatürk is familiar from his later role in the founding of the Turkish Republic. The miniature’s First World War setting concerns his earlier Ottoman military career.
A character shelf or a labeled command scene
The long coat, strong lining colour and distinctive headgear make AL025 effective beside other named figures. He can also anchor an Ottoman command grouping, provided a label makes the imagined nature of a Beersheba placement clear.
Look closely at the pistol and binoculars in a seller’s photographs; their contrasting shapes help identify the pose. This release rewards a collector who enjoys the boundary between historical personalities and the storytelling choices of a miniature range. Its appeal is stronger when the historical qualification travels with the figure.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived AL025 product record lists a release date of July 2011 and a retirement date of September 2015. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
