The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD266-2
The seated man looks up while his companion kneels over his equipment. DD266-2 creates a small, quiet interaction within the 101st Airborne preparation subjects.

The pair changes the pace
There is no firing or running here. The two figures instead invite the viewer to look at the packed bodies and the relationship between their head positions.
The seated pose stretches the composition forward at ground level. The kneeling pose brings the eye back upward, making the pair useful beside standing troopers.
Equipment remains part of the figure’s shape
The front packs and straps are still attached, preserving the pre-jump appearance. Even at rest, the men do not look unencumbered.
A sparse base can make that detail more noticeable than a busy battlefield scene. A few standing figures behind them are enough to suggest an assembly area without surrounding the pair with combat scenery.
The 101st version needs its own record
DD266-1 carries the 82nd identification, while this -2 version represents the 101st. Because the poses are closely related, the patch is an essential detail in a comparison photograph.
The August 2015 product record identifies the kneeling-and-seated release. The two men should be accounted for separately when checking an example; a single low figure is not the complete pair.
Within the collection, DD266-2 is a useful antidote to a shelf where everybody is standing at the same height. The small change in posture makes the wider airborne group feel like people waiting together, with different ways of passing the time before departure.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD266-2 product record lists a release date of August 2015 and a retirement date of August 2018. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
