The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS398

The doors are open, the body carries bullet-hit detail and two figures lie around the car. WS398 presents the aftermath of an ambush rather than a staff vehicle ready to drive away.

The car’s origins are civilian

The recognizable Citroën shape connects the military scene with a wider automotive history. Citroën’s own retrospective dates the Traction Avant’s introduction to April 1934 and explains its front-wheel-drive name.

The miniature’s German camouflage and SS plates place that French vehicle design in a different represented service. The national origin of the car and the affiliation of its occupants are both useful catalog categories.

The damage is part of the release

King & Country describes two dead Waffen-SS officers around the vehicle and doors that can open or close. The bullet impacts and casualties are intentional scenic features, not accidental damage visible only in a seller’s photograph.

That does not remove the need to assess condition. The reference helps distinguish the manufacturer’s modeled damage from later breakage or missing components.

A specific scene without a named incident

The release does not establish an actual ambush location or identify the attackers. The two officers are unnamed, so a precise Resistance operation or individual biography would go beyond the evidence.

A slightly elevated angle shows both the car’s open interior and the ground-level figures. A tight vehicle portrait could hide one of the two included casualties.

WS398 contains the ambushed car and the two depicted officers. Its catalog identity depends on that complete arrangement, with the three-color camouflage, SS markings and intentionally damaged appearance recorded together.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS398 product record lists a release date of November 2024. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
