The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS363
The hand pressed to the helmet tells the story before the title does. WS363 bends forward into a run, with his other hand carrying a pistol low beside the body.
The pose expresses exposure
The manufacturer imagines artillery fire around a young soldier seeking cover. No explosion is sculpted into the release; the body language communicates the danger outside the frame.
This is a useful distinction from an advancing attack pose. The man’s immediate action is to reach shelter, not to aim at an opponent.
The helmet cover links the colors
The patterned helmet covering and trousers contrast with the plain green-toned jacket. Equipment on the back and belt adds weight to the running figure.
The forward torso, raised elbow and extended leg produce a strong diagonal. A side-quarter view is particularly effective because it preserves the relationship between all three.
The historical grouping remains specific
The release belongs to King & Country’s Normandy HJSS subjects. The youth of the intended soldier is part of the manufacturer’s interpretation; it does not provide a named biography or justify romanticizing the formation.
The DHM’s Waffen-SS history describes the organization’s political character and involvement in atrocities as well as its combat role.
WS363 contains the single running figure. A ruined wall, shell burst or other men in a larger scene would be separate additions.
Its place in the catalog is this recognizable protective gesture. Compare the hand at the helmet, low pistol and patterned trousers together when distinguishing it from another running German infantry figure.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS363 product record lists a release date of October 2022 and a retirement date of June 2025. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
