WS337’s rifle rises beside the head, while WS340 holds a rifle centrally. WS339 lacks those tall weapon lines, so the head and shoulders stand out more clearly.

That makes the NCO useful as a visual break within a group of similar uniforms. He can be identified through posture and equipment rather than through an invented personal biography.

The base keeps the scene neutral

The simple rectangular plinth provides no rubble, grass or snow to assign a specific location. The figure’s setting comes from the parade relationship and the manufacturer’s intended historical grouping.

A collecting photograph should show the entire sword and both feet. A tightly cropped upper-body image could make the figure difficult to distinguish from another helmeted man at attention.
