The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS315

WS315 supplies two helmeted guards carrying MP40s across their bodies. The shared equipment connects them, while their different hand and head positions keep the pair from looking identical.

The service role is specific

The manufacturer identifies the figures as SS bodyguards associated with the bunker setting. They represent personnel guarding Nazi leaders, not anonymous members of a neutral ceremonial detail.

The product record does not name either man or identify a specific photograph behind the poses. A historical description should preserve the represented role without inventing individual biographies.

The weapons sit close to the torso

Both men carry short submachine guns at the ready rather than aiming long rifles. The bent arms and helmeted heads create compact upper outlines.

Their stance can frame a doorway without requiring them to stand directly opposite each other. A little offset leaves both faces and weapons visible.

The architecture is sold separately

WS313 and WS320 provide versions of the bunker entrance, while WS314 is the tower. WS315 contains the two guard figures, not any of those structures.

Keeping that distinction clear matters when several releases appear together in a dealer’s display photograph.

The set belongs in the catalog as the complete two-man guard pair. It expands the human side of the Berlin scenic grouping while remaining a separate release with its own contents.

For identification, compare both helmets, MP40 positions and stances with the reference. Two other armed German figures may create a plausible display, but they do not establish a complete original WS315 set.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS315 product record lists a release date of May 2015 and a retirement date of June 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
