The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS269
WS269 consists of an empty hospital cot with white bedding and a blue blanket. Its interest is the absence of a patient: a small accessory can create space within a display instead of simply adding another person.
The empty place leaves the story open
The original description suggests several possible reasons for the vacancy, but none is an established event. The bed might be waiting for someone or have been recently cleared; the model does not determine the answer.
That openness makes it useful beside occupied beds without imposing a single narrative on the group.
The bedding carries the detail
The stacked white pillows contrast with the blue cover, while the brown frame appears below. The hanging edges give the cot a softer outline than a bare military equipment piece.
A side-quarter photograph shows both the blanket’s drape and the bed’s supports. A view taken only from above can conceal part of the structure.
Build a ward with room between the beds
WS266 supplies a patient with a chest wound, and other hospital releases add nurses and a doctor. WS269 can sit between those subjects, giving the arrangement a little breathing room.
No patient, medical worker or additional furniture is listed with this release. It is the empty bed itself.
The set earns a separate catalog entry because hospital accessories have their own collecting identity. Keeping the code attached to the bedding and frame prevents the cot from being mistaken for a missing-patient version of an occupied hospital set.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS269 product record lists a release date of February 2014 and a retirement date of November 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
