The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD357(B)
DD357(B) throws the infantryman’s head and shoulders backward while his rifle rises at an angle. The pose interrupts the forward movement of the neighboring British figures.

A casualty subject within a landing group
The manufacturer describes the soldier as being struck in the right shoulder. The sculpt communicates impact through the body and lifted hand rather than through a settled wounded pose.
It does not identify the man or establish his eventual medical outcome. The release title describes the instant represented, not a complete personal story.
The sand base keeps the setting visible
The B version uses pale ground, connecting the figure with the British beach subjects. DD357(G) is the grass counterpart.
The backward movement makes a particularly strong contrast beside the forward-leaning riflemen DD345(B). Their separate gestures can show the disruption of an advance without needing additional effects.
The history includes the cost
The Lancashire Infantry Museum records substantial casualties among the 1st South Lancashires during the D-Day assault, including the loss of their commanding officer. A casualty figure therefore addresses a real part of the landing’s history, while remaining an anonymous model.
DD357(B) adds that human cost to the catalog. Its collecting identity is the recoiling body, raised rifle and sand finish, rather than a generic fallen soldier.
Photograph the complete outline so the backward head, right-hand gesture and angled weapon remain visible together. Those are the details that distinguish the release.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD357(B) product record lists a release date of November 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
