One Ranger in DD326 moves upright with his rifle across his front; the other bends much farther forward. The pair gives the same basic task two different body shapes, creating movement without duplicating a pose.
Getting beyond the beach was a separate problem
The U.S. Army’s Omaha Beachhead account describes small groups climbing beyond the seawall and bluffs, with Rangers and infantry becoming intermingled. Progress did not resemble a perfectly ordered parade of intact units.
The miniature does not reconstruct one identified party from that account. Its two different postures offer a visual way to discuss movement amid that confusion.
The rifle lines hold the pair together
Both men carry rifles ready across their bodies. The weapons connect them visually even though the heads, torsos and legs occupy different heights.
The lower figure’s bent shoulders give him a more compressed outline. The other man’s raised body makes his face and equipment easier to see at shelf distance.
Compare the prone and kneeling releases
DD320 brings the figures fully onto the ground. DD327 concentrates on kneeling and crouching Rangers. DD326 adds a two-man passage between those stationary-looking levels.
The pair can suggest movement past another group rather than simply enlarge a straight firing line. Leave a little space around the lowered figure so his bent posture does not disappear behind the taller man.
DD326’s collecting appeal is that difference within a shared action. The figures belong together, but each supplies a distinct silhouette.
The archived title is brief and does not identify individual soldiers. The most reliable record is the complete two-man reference, with both rifles and the contrasting body heights visible when checking a secondhand example.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD326 product record lists a release date of July 2019. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
