The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS224-2

WS224-2 carries the turret number 202, with the same compact, dusty-gray character as its companion releases. Its hatch is unoccupied in the reference photograph because this version was sold without a commander figure.

The empty hatch is an original feature

The product description explicitly separates this release from WS224-1’s included crew figure. A seller should therefore not describe the original absence of a commander as a missing part.

A collector may add a compatible accessory figure, but that creates a chosen display combination rather than changing the original contents of the 202 release.

The tank’s story outlasted its turret

The Military History Institute in Prague’s account of the LT vz. 38 family describes the design’s later use in Marder III tank destroyers and Grille self-propelled guns. The small tank was part of a much wider vehicle family.

That makes the model an interesting starting point for comparison. Its conventional turret and compact hull show the tank form before attention shifts to vehicles built around a different fighting compartment.

A numbered companion with its own identity

The manufacturer offered 202 to collectors assembling more than one 38(t). Beside 201 and 204, the different numbers prevent the display from looking like a repetition of one individual vehicle.

The reference does not document the wartime history of a specific tank bearing 202. The number is a release identifier here, not a basis for inventing a named crew or battle.

WS224-2 belongs in the catalog as the second gray numbered version, with no original commander. The turret number, full suffix and dusty running gear are the most useful details when comparing it with the closely related offerings.

The four large road wheels and short hull remain easy to recognize even when the model is viewed among much heavier armor.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS224-2 product record lists a release date of May 2013. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
