The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS234

A small pale piece of paper is easy to miss among WS234’s helmet, rifle and equipment. Once noticed, it changes the whole reading of the figure: this soldier is running to deliver information, not simply moving to another firing position.

The message gives the run a purpose

The manufacturer describes a company runner carrying an urgent message. The forward lean and widely separated limbs supply the motion, while the folded paper provides its reason.

The contents are not specified. Assigning a famous order or a named officer to the miniature would create a story that the release record does not support.

Its companion completes the exchange

WS235 reaches back for a written order while remaining low to the ground. Placing the two releases within sight of each other creates a before-and-after relationship: the information is arriving, and someone is ready to take it.

They remain separately sold figures. A photograph showing both should identify the two codes so the scene does not become mistaken for one boxed set.

Communication is a collecting subject

The nearby WS236 radioman offers a different means of staying in touch. Paper in a runner’s hand and a radio beside an operator tell related stories through very different objects.

This makes a small communications grouping possible without repeating the same sculpt or forcing every figure into a firing line. The historical interest lies in the people carrying and receiving information.

For WS234, leave the delivery hand visible. If the pale message disappears against scenery, the figure can look like an anonymous running infantryman and lose the detail that makes the release distinctive.

The urgency comes from the body; the meaning comes from the paper. That combination gives this modest single figure an unusually clear narrative within the wider October 2013 infantry group.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS234 product record lists a release date of October 2013. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
