The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS233

WS233 bends forward with one hand signaling and the other holding an MP40. The gesture is broad enough to read at shelf distance, while the low torso suggests that the man is moving with the people he is directing.

A command shown without words

King & Country identifies him as an NCO calling his men forward. The pose makes that instruction visible through the relationship between hand, head and body; it does not need an invented quotation or a named battlefield.

The open palm is an especially useful contrast with the closed hands around weapons in neighboring releases. It makes communication, rather than firing, the defining action.

Compare three ways the range depicts orders

WS240 shows a prone NCO shouting. WS234 carries a written message. WS233 occupies the space between them, translating leadership into a gesture that another figure can appear to see.

The comparison gives an infantry collection a broader subject than a line of men using different weapons. Information has to move between people, and these releases make that exchange visible in different forms.

The body still belongs to the advance

The bent legs and forward lean keep the signal from looking like a formal parade-ground instruction. His weapon remains close while the free hand does the expressive work.

A companion set slightly behind him can make the beckoning gesture legible. Too many figures directly in front would hide the space the hand is addressing.

The model does not establish the strength or organization of a complete historical squad. It is a single leadership figure whose title supplies a role, rather than a full unit roster.

That role is its collecting value. WS233 helps other infantry figures appear connected, giving the group an implied exchange and a direction while retaining a distinctive pose of its own.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS233 product record lists a release date of October 2013 and a retirement date of August 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
