The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS225

The small turret and riveted-looking armor surfaces give WS225 a noticeably different character from the Tigers and Panthers around it. King & Country’s camouflaged Panzer 38(t) brings a Czech-origin vehicle into the German-service collection.

The design origin remains part of the identity

The manufacturer explicitly describes the 38(t) as Czech-made. The model’s German markings and commander depict its service under a different operator, while the underlying vehicle type retains that earlier industrial origin.

This is why the catalog records both the German and Czechoslovak connections. They describe different aspects of the subject rather than competing claims about the same moment.

The small hull rewards close inspection

The turret sits relatively high above the compact body. The road wheels form a clear pattern beneath the side armor, while the gun and hull machine gun introduce narrow projecting lines at the front.

The camouflage breaks up the smaller panels and riveted surfaces. A quarter view makes those details more legible than a distant photograph in which the tank becomes only a small tan shape.

A later finish than the gray numbered versions

King & Country places the camouflage interpretation from the middle-war period. The WS224 numbered releases offer related gray subjects, so the full WS225 code and paint treatment are useful when comparing listings.

The product record does not supply a named individual vehicle history. The catalog therefore avoids assigning a particular battle to the represented tank.

The commander visible above the turret gives the model an occupied appearance and a useful sense of scale. Keep him clear of a busy background so the small figure remains part of the vehicle’s identity.

WS225 belongs in the collection as a compact captured-design subject with a distinct finish. Its Czech origins, German-service appearance and small turreted silhouette provide several useful points of comparison with the larger armored models.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS225 product record lists a release date of August 2014 and a retirement date of November 2019. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
