The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS222
A medic works at another soldier’s forearm in WS222, with both men standing close together. The white helmet and medical armband draw attention toward the treatment, while the wounded man’s rifle remains slung behind him.

The hands define the scene
The figures’ arms meet in the space between their bodies. The medic’s attention is concentrated on the wound, and the other man turns toward him rather than toward an unseen opponent.
The release title calls the pair Walking Wounded, but the sculpt fixes a moment of treatment rather than showing the men striding along a road. Their upright posture is the visible distinction from the more severely lowered casualty scenes in the range.
The outcome is not established by the miniature
The original description speculates that the injury is insufficient to send the soldier to the rear. The figure itself cannot establish that medical decision, so this catalog records the arm treatment without assigning a diagnosis or later duty status.
The men are anonymous in the release record. Their equipment and interaction provide the historical subject without needing a named casualty or a particular medical unit.
A useful comparison with WS237
WS237 places a wounded man on the ground with a medic giving him water. WS222 supplies a different level of care and a different physical arrangement, keeping both figures upright.
A restrained background allows the hands and bandaging activity to stay visible. The red-cross markings should support the interaction rather than be the only details seen in a distant photograph.
The archived dates also require care: the retirement field precedes the stated release month. That inconsistent value is not used to date the set here.
WS222 belongs in the medical collection because it shows treatment as a close two-person task, with the hand positions and standing bodies giving the release a specific identity.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS222 product record lists a release date of June 2014. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Its retirement field is chronologically inconsistent, so it is not used to date this release. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
