The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD313
The BAR gunner in DD313 turns his upper body while keeping the long weapon low. The pose gives the rifle a diagonal sweep across the figure, with the head looking beyond the direction of the leading leg.

The manufacturer imagines a corner
The release description suggests the gunner trying to see around an obstruction. That reading fits the rotated torso without identifying a real building or a documented encounter.
A modest wall edge can support the idea, but the miniature already contains the change of attention in the relationship between the head, shoulders and weapon.
The BAR has a recognizable equipment role
King & Country identifies the weapon as the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle and notes its twenty-round box magazine. Its larger size helps distinguish this figure from the Garand riflemen around him.
The gun is not placed on a separate support or shared between two figures. DD313 presents the individual carrier in motion, contrasting with the paired .30-caliber team of DD311.
The turn is as important as the weapon
The rifle’s long outline can dominate a sales photograph, but the lower body explains why this sculpt is called Turning. The bent stance and rotated shoulders should remain visible together.
The uniform colors and helmet treatment connect the figure with DD307 through DD314. Within that group, the BAR and turning movement provide two distinct reasons to identify this release separately.
The product record gives no personal name or precise unit assignment. The historical subject remains the American automatic rifleman, expressed through a specific weapon and a searching change of direction.
DD313 earns its place by making movement less straightforward. The man is advancing, but his attention and weapon are responding to something beside the path, giving a small infantry display a useful change of angle.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD313 product record lists a release date of November 2017 and a retirement date of June 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
