The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD308

DD308 holds his M1 Garand across the front while turning with it, creating a wary moving pose. The saved image shows the figure from front and rear, which is especially helpful for understanding how the equipment sits around the body.

Two views do not mean two figures

This is a single GI. The paired reference photograph records different angles of the same release, not a two-man set.

The rear view reveals the crossed straps and equipment around the waist. The front view shows the relationship between the face, hands and rifle, with the muzzle directed outward from the turned torso.

The title describes readiness

King & Country presents a man moving cautiously with his Garand ready for a sudden threat. The pose has a searching quality, distinct from the fixed aim of DD309 and DD310.

The sculpt does not identify what lies beyond his view. That open attention lets a small wall corner or gap in scenery suggest the surroundings without requiring an invented encounter.

The turn adds variety to a rifle group

DD307 moves directly forward, while DD308 rotates his attention and weapon across the path. Their different body lines can make a pair of advancing figures feel less repetitive.

The uniform colors and helmet treatment connect the releases visually. It is the direction of movement, rather than a different weapon type, that separates their roles.

When comparing a secondhand example, use both angles in the reference. The back equipment is as useful for identification as the more obvious rifle and face.

DD308 adds a cautious transitional pose to the infantry catalog. The front-and-rear photograph makes it particularly easy to appreciate the complete sculpt, provided the two images are understood as one figure.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD308 product record lists a release date of November 2017 and a retirement date of June 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
