The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS211

The NCO in WS211 works at his submachine gun while standing upright. One hand holds the weapon across the lower torso and the other attends to it, giving the figure an equipment-focused action before any firing begins.

The release identifies a specific gesture

King & Country describes the man pulling back the cocking handle. The pose therefore represents preparation with the weapon rather than a generic standing guard.

The title uses the familiar Schmeisser nickname. For catalog identification, the complete WS211 code and the distinctive hand position are more useful than that nickname alone, which appears in many German-figure descriptions.

The front remains open to view

The low weapon leaves the tunic, straps and face visible. The helmet’s lighter band provides a small contrast above the greener uniform and gray trousers.

The hands bring attention toward the center of the body. Seen beside a pointing or firing figure, the action is quieter but still purposeful.

A useful moment between waiting and combat

WS212’s kneeling rifleman supplies a lower ready pose. WS211 can stand nearby, adding a different weapon and a different stage of preparation without making both figures repeat the same line of attention.

The product record does not identify a named NCO or a particular engagement. The historical subject remains the equipped infantry leader handling his weapon, with no need to invent a command or immediate target.

Keep the hands visible when placing him near scenery. A wall that covers the lower torso would hide the action that distinguishes the release.

WS211 earns its place through that specific interaction with the equipment. The miniature’s interest is the small preparation gesture within an otherwise upright pose, with the weapon, hands and rank identity all contributing to the catalog entry.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS211 product record lists a release date of November 2012 and a retirement date of August 2015. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
