King & Country AL050 Charging Turk with Rifle: The Ottoman Infantry Move Forward

A low, purposeful outline

The head, shoulders and weapon are gathered toward the front of the sculpt. His pale greenish uniform contrasts with darker boots, straps and the warm wooden rifle stock. The motion is concentrated rather than sprawling.

That compact line makes him useful beside a taller standing officer. The two can face the same direction without their gestures competing, or he can move past a firing position to suggest different tasks within one infantry group.

Let the ground lead him somewhere

A slight opening between low earthworks or another figure can make his direction of movement clear. Avoid placing a tall obstacle immediately in front of the muzzle; the rifle and forward lean need open space to be read.

Compare him with the earlier AL035 running soldier and AL034 bayonet figure to see how King & Country varied the Ottoman infantry. A shared uniform does not mean a shared pose. AL050 is the low, rifle-forward charge, an effective way to add movement and initiative to that side of the collection without needing a large multi-figure scene.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived AL050 product record lists a release date of April 2013 and a retirement date of May 2016. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
