The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD202
The angular Morris Quad looks almost like a small armoured box on wheels, but its job in DD202 is towing. A separate two-wheeled limber follows behind, creating the first two parts of an artillery column.

The gun is a separate release
King & Country supplies the C8 tractor, a seated Royal Artillery driver and the ammunition limber. The matching 25-pounder is DD204.
That division of contents matters when the three pieces appear together in a dealer photograph. DD202 alone is the tractor-and-limber combination, not the complete gun train.
A transport combination recorded on film
An Imperial War Museums film record from 30 August 1944 describes a Morris Quad of the 81st Field Regiment towing a 25-pounder through Louviers toward the Seine crossings. It places the familiar combination on actual roads among other moving units.
The film record is historical context for the vehicle’s role. It does not identify King & Country’s miniature as that exact tractor.
The camouflage follows a distinctive body
The manufacturer describes the finish as Mickey Mouse camouflage. Rounded darker patches sit across the sharply sloping body panels, producing an interesting contrast between paint pattern and vehicle shape.
The spare wheel and roof details add height, while the limber’s simpler box form stretches the composition backward. A side-quarter view makes both parts readable.
From gun position to road column
The tractor allows the artillery story to continue beyond a static firing scene. A parked combination can suggest arrival or departure; a road setting can make movement the main subject.
Allow enough shelf length for the tow connections and, if added, DD204’s trailing gun. Crowding the pieces nose to tail hides the relationship that makes this release useful.
DD202 belongs in the collection as the transport partner to the artillery, with a memorable vehicle shape that can also stand on its own.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD202 product record lists a release date of July 2013 and a retirement date of March 2016. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
