The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS106
A long Mercedes staff car carries six figures in WS106. Hitler stands above the seated passengers giving a Nazi salute, making the release a depiction of political power on display in an occupied city.

The visit behind the title
The Anne Frank House timeline dates Hitler’s Paris visit to 23 June 1940, the day after France signed the armistice. Its photograph shows a cameraman recording him with Albert Speer and Arno Breker near the Eiffel Tower.
That documented visit provides the setting. It should be understood through conquest and occupation, rather than the casual tourist language found in some older sales descriptions.
Count the people as well as the wheels
The release announcement lists the standing Hitler figure, an SS driver, two seated officers and two SS bodyguards at the rear. These six figures are part of the car’s unusually busy outline.
The passengers sit at different levels along the long body. From a low front angle, one can hide another, so a higher three-quarter photograph is helpful when assessing the group.
A second version, with its own identity
King & Country described WS106 as a larger, more detailed successor to an earlier Hitler staff car. That makes the exact code useful when comparing listings: a similar subject and familiar title do not necessarily identify the same sculpt or passenger arrangement.
The archive does not establish that the miniature reproduces one particular photograph of a car at a precisely named Paris stop.
The camera is part of the historical story
WS107’s correspondents were marketed as a companion subject. Placing a camera figure near the car can make the production of an occupation image visible, rather than presenting the procession in isolation.
Those correspondents are a separate release. WS106 itself supplies the car and its six occupants.
In a historical collection, the model belongs with an explanation of the event and the regime represented. The craftsmanship and elaborate passenger group are collecting details; the political context gives those details their meaning.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS106 product record lists a release date of April 2008 and a retirement date of July 2009. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
