The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS053

WS053 puts three seated German figures side by side, with the sergeant’s weapon distinguishing him from the two riflemen. The group was offered as passengers for the WS052 prime mover.

The vehicle in the picture is separate

The saved reference shows the figures seated in the halftrack to demonstrate their fit. WS053 identifies the three-man figure group, while WS052 is the vehicle release.

This distinction is especially useful when buying from a photograph of a complete display. A large vehicle in the frame can easily obscure what one particular code actually supplies.

Seated figures tell a transport story

The WS historical overview places movement and support alongside the more active infantry subjects. Here the men are passengers, with their carried equipment arranged around a seated posture.

The miniature group does not identify a particular journey or a named historical crew.

Compare the men with WS054

The second passenger set contains another three figures with different details. In WS053, the original sergeant-and-two-riflemen combination is the reliable starting point for identification.

The different headgear and weapon positions in the saved image help distinguish the individual sculpts.

Why preserve a small accessory group?

Passenger figures can be mistaken for permanent parts of the vehicle they occupy. Giving WS053 its own entry preserves the fact that it was a separately numbered offering.

Keep the original trio associated in the collection record, even if the men are later divided between vehicles or displayed beside the halftrack rather than seated in it.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS053 product record lists a release date of May 2004 and a retirement date of January 2009. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
